Why do people ask for honesty yet when honesty is given, they either dismiss it or become offended by it? I mean, do we seek out relationships and friendships from people who we do not allow to hold us accountable and offer advice in truth? I thought maturity comes from constructive criticism and allowing those that we love and trust to speak truth to us, of course, speak truth out of love. I can honestly count on one hand the amount of people who were able to accept truth or allow themselves to be held accountable for their actions and they don't become offended. Yet I'm confused because I am constantly hearing people ask for others to 'be honest' with them...soooooo, do we keep NOT speaking truth to people
